History & Campus Partnership

Chicago Bulls College Prep opened in August of 2009 in the oldest public school building in Chicago - a historic building with a 140 year history of education.  Located just around the corner from the United Center, Bulls College Prep is the result of a generous donation from the Chicago Bulls Charities, the nonprofit arm of the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls have invested many hours and resources to enhance the education and experience of our CBCP students. Former championship player and Bulls Ambassador Sidney Green has addressed the students at campus-wide townhalls, Bulls leadership and staff have been on numerous tours and events at the campus, and the Bulls have donated equipment and labor to enhance the campus' physical fitness program and facilities. Students have also benefited from unique opportunities that result in the partnership with the Chicago Bulls. Students have provided hundreds of community service hours to the Chicago Bulls, participated in the Chicago Bulls "Shop with a Bull" for the past few years, watched a home game with Joakim Noah during the 2011 season, the Junior Marine ROTC regularly provides the color guard for home games, and the students and staff have attended many Bulls games.
